Hey guys. Love the blog and the photos you've posted so far! Sounds like you're having a great time, I'm jealous :) What's that hanging around your necks in the Colosseum photo? Must be some kind of tour/information thing?
Alonna - that is exactly right. Most of the sites (expecially the museums) have audio tours that are fairly informative and quite a bit cheaper than your traditional tour guide. We have been using them quite a bit, as they allow us to go at our own pace and still give quite a bit of background on what we are seeing. Some of the places have signs describing what you are seeing, but they are usually either too brief, or only in Italian, or both, so we would be pretty lost without them.
